Our farming adventure officially started in 2021; raising livestock, growing food, and crafting and selling tools and products from natural materials..
About Us
Tick Creek Farm, LLC is a small family farm located in South Mississippi that focuses primarily on Gulf Coast Sheep, wool, and wool related products. We also have rabbits and pigs, and grow a vegetable garden.
Our Animals
Gulf Coast Sheep
We keep a flock of Gulf Coast Sheep. They are a landrace that has adapted to thrive on the Gulf Coast state’s climate. They have been in this area since the 1500s.
Pigs
Our current herd of pig are pot-bellied pigs but the plan is to reduce this herd down to very few or none and switch to raising American Guinea Hogs starting with a registered pair.
Rabbits
We raise rabbits for meat and our rabbit herd consists of New Zealand White, a Californian, and mixed.
Our Products
Wool
Wool from our flock of Gulf Coast Sheep; Raw wool, batts of wool, roving, rollags.
Tools
Drop spindles, dizes, and Nålbinding needles.
Other Products
We also make and sell things like wool bracelets, felt shepherd’s slings, and a couple self-published children’s books.
